Welcome to King Edward Memorial Hospital, Western Australia’s public tertiary maternity, neonatal and gynaecological hospital.
KEMH and its staff are dedicated to:
- evidence-based, best-practice patient care
- innovative research
- education and support of health-care practitioners state-wide
Who we care for
As the State’s largest maternity hospital and only referral centre for complex pregnancies, KEMH oversees over 6000 births each year and provides exceptional clinical expertise to WA’s most unwell expectant mothers and babies.
WA’s youngest patients, premature and sick infants, are given truly world-class care in the Hospital’s 80-bed Special Care Nursery, which is the largest in the Southern Hemisphere.
In addition, each year over 5,000 patients with gynaecological conditions are treated by expert staff at the forefront of women’s health.
